| [I have a few students who are really into John Green's books, so I've expressed how much I love them, too. Today, this happened in the last three minutes of class.] | |
| Student 1: | Ms. M! Can I show you something? It is on my phone...we're pretty much done for the day, right? |
| Me: | I suppose. What is it? |
| Student 1: | Sweet. [pulls out her phone] It is from tumblr. And it has to do with John Green. [shows me one of the posts that John has kindly trolled with his super-sneaky url skills] Isn't this funny? It is funny because that comment is by John Green. |
| Me: | Oh, I know! It has become a game for him...he just likes sneakily commenting on people's posts about him and his books since his url is so bizarre and unconnected to him--unless you know his fascination with tax forms and the fishing boat proceeds section. |
| Student 1: | Wait...you know about tumblr? |
| Me: | Yeah. Yeah, I do. |
| Student 1: | But teachers don't know about tumblr! |

The Princess Mononoke stage adaptation has opened in London to sell-out performances and rave reviews. The play’s puppets and costumes are made out of recycled material, reflecting Miyazaki’s environmental message.

Grand Central Station, NYC, 1941. The light does not stream in like this anymore because the buildings around the station are too tall.

Photographer Sharad Haksar’s Divine Irony series. A masterfully crafted set of photographs with a great concept. Of his work Haksar says, “It’s a pictorial commentary on everyday India as seen through the prism of Hindu deities. Each of the images is a colourful take on the land of 330 million gods.”

The basic request of upper and lower spatial organization and the shape of the site prompted a long and tin house with fluctuating facade which would allow for more differentiated view. The key was coming up with a multi-functional space which is a large staircase, bookshelves, casual reading space, home cinema, slide and many more…
The client was very pleased with the design, and the initial design was accepted and finalized almost instantly, only with minor adjustments. The kitchen and dining space is another important space where family gathers to bond. The TV was pushed away to a smaller living room. The attic is where the best view is possible, it is used as a play room for younger kids. The multi-use stair and slice space brings much active energy to the house, not only children, but also grown ups love the slide staircase…An action filled playful house for all ages…

Tricked out bikes after dark at Harmonie Park. Why yes those are spinning rims, ground effect lighting, a speaker system, review chrome mirrors, and an Ipad.
A couple practice sketches from photos of Danny Trejo.
